There are only three special order versions of this design available.
Amethyst is the most beautiful form of quartz, appearing in a wide range of hues from the palest lilac to the deepest royal purple. Amethyst lore suggests the gem, which is the birthstone for the month of February, to be an aid in meditation and has calming as well as protective qualities. It is also said to contribute to healing, love, inspiration, intuition and sobriety.
This elegant special edition LongLocks GeishaStix Japanese style hair ornament is done in the LongLocks SterlingStix and LongLocks GemStix styles. Gorgeous genuine amethyst gemstone beads and sterling silver heishi beads dangle suspended at the end of the hair pin from filigree. Three amethyst beads, two of which are nestled into ornate Turkish sterling silver filigree bead caps, adorn the hair stick. A sterling silver heishi bead completes the design. The hair pin is crafted of bone, carved into an elegant twist and hand painted in sparkling silver, under layers of protective clear enamel. This one-of-a-kind LongLocks Asian hair ornament measures 5 3/4" long from end to end (excluding dangle). The dangle measures 3 5/8" in length.
