Hand crafted lampwork beads are painstakingly created one at a time by bead artists using specialized glass and a high temperature propane torch. Each bead has its own character and is in itself a work of art. A true bead artist brings incredible depth to each bead, and each artist has their own signature style. Indeed the designs, and even the beads themselves, are as individual and as varied as the artists who create them.
The end of each of these hair accessories is adorned with a captivating encased light rose pink, purple and mint green floral lampwork bead hand made by glass artist Allison Turner, nestled into a Turkish sterling silver filigree bead cap. A very rare vintage Swarovski Light Rose bicone crystal occupies the center position. An extremely rare vintage Swarovski Chrysolite Aurora Borealis tapered crystal, topped with an ornate Turkish sterling silver filigree bead cap, sits below. Silver plated heishi beads complete the design. The hair sticks are elegantly hand carved bone, dyed black and finished in light rose pink special effect metallic pigment that flashes stunning iridescence with movement, under layers of protective clear enamel. These one-of-a-kind special edition LongLocks hair accessories measure 5 5/8" long from end to end.
