Hand crafted lampwork beads are painstakingly created one at a time by bead artists using specialized glass and a high temperature propane torch. Each bead has its own character and is in itself a work of art. A true bead artist brings incredible depth to each bead, and each artist has their own signature style. Indeed the designs, and even the beads themselves, are as individual and as varied as the artists who create them.
The end of each of these hair accessories is adorned with a gorgeous encased white lampwork bead with applied rose pink glass ribbons, hand crafted by glass artist Jena Moore, nestled into a Turkish vermeil (genuine 22kt. gold over sterling silver) filigree bead cap. A very rare vintage Swarovski Chrysolite Aurora Borealis rocky cut crystal occupies the center position. A Swarovski Rose bicone crystal, topped with an ornate Turkish vermeil filigree bead cap, sits below. Gold plated heishi beads complete the design. The hair sticks are elegantly carved bone, hand painted in an impressionist design of rose pink, mint green and just a touch of gold, under layers of protective clear enamel. These one-of-a-kind special edition LongLocks hair accessories measure 6" long from end to end.
