Title: too much hair on my hairbrush
Post by brownsugar on Aug 1st, 2009 at 10:31am
Please give me advice on what to do with my hair. I'm African-Caucasian and have been having an easy going relationship with my hair; i leave it alone most of the times other than washing my hair at least once a week with a conditioner/shampoo combination i don't do anything else to it and it pretty much doesn't complain.
but lately I've noticed that there seems to be too much of it left on my hairbrush. pls what can i do?

I did attempt to dye it with Garnier's hair dye about 3 months ago.

Hi Brownsuger!

You and I am about the same as I am a latina/african.  I would suggest using a sperate shampoo and conditoner.  The "all in ones" do not conditon well and I think this will help alot.  Shedding can also be the result of coloring you hair as is stress and nutrition.  I would love to see a pic of you hair.

The shedding could be due to the dying your hair. It could also be that your hair is in the telogen phase, which is the final phase. New hair starts growing in the papilla and finally the old hair falls out.

Also, if your hair is curly the shedding hairs have a harder time of falling off of the head so you may be brushing out the already loose hairs which makes it seem like a lot of shedding.

Hope this helps. :)
