Title: JJJ LongHair's Hair Care Method!
Post by Tara on Nov 12th, 2009 at 3:27pm
This woman's hair so SO GORGEOUS!  The techniques I have been using the last few years haven't done crap to get my hair any better looking/feeling.  I think I might try her routine for a while and hope it works for me too!  Although I am happy to say I already do a lot of her techniques (like throwing my hair off the side of the bed for sleeping).

My routine is pretty basic!( at least I think so)
Thank you Tara and...
Thanks for linking my page.

My hair is 56" now. This is probably my limit.
I plan on maintaining it here.

JJJ :)

You have the loveliest hair I have ever seen.  I would sell my soul to the devil for hair like yours.  Mine is baby fine and wavy/curly, so is delicate.  I have been growing it out for 3 yrs from very short and layered to just past shoulder-length.  I am hoping for waist-length, but we shall see.

Thank you very much Melusine:)
I can only imagine the challenge of baby fine hair.
You must be extra careful. But it always is softer and more shiny than mine ever could be.
I hope you reach your waist length goal. It is fun to set small goals for yourself and enjoy every length!
That is what I did.

:)
I agree that JJJ's hair is to die for.
Or at the very least worthy of abject worship! :D

JJJ, I also adore your bun page, especially the videos. More tutorials, please!
My favorite so far is the pretzel bun with clips.

And I hope you don't think I'm too forward when I say thank GOODNESS you didn't go in for the Tyra Bank's show fiasco!

Yes!  Your hair is my DREAM!  Only black and not blond  ;D

I went cone-less for about 3 years now and my hair has just been in a downward spiral, I even developed dandruff (still trying to get rid of it) I never blow-dry it, but I have a fancy blow-dryer with cool settings I think I will start using.

I also <3 Sunsilk, and now that I am going back to cones, I am going to switch to it (after my pantene)

Oh I KNOW right?  So many amazing buns!  I need to add more buns to my repertoire!

P.S. JJJ> sorry for referring to you as "This Woman" lol!  ;D  I somehow forgot you were on these forums! Doh! ::)

My hair likes cones too.
Oh and it's ok that you called me "This Woman" lol.
More bun demos? OK  ::)

I just made a new bun demo of a braided Pretzel Bun.I try it with clips and sticks
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8FT8X4JvQ7s

and another recent one called the Clip bun.
But I use claw clips...some people hate those!   :)

Just casual buns....more braided buns tutorials coming soon.
Let me know what you think of these two recent bun demos.
Thanks!

I'm gonna put my 2 cents in if you don't mind!
I think your demos are superb.  You go slow enough for someone to get the feel of where their hair and hands should be yet the demo doesn't drag on to where you're bored.  Thanks JJJ for sharing these demos and taking time to chat. :)  You know you are welcome anytime here on LongLocks!

Hooray! I really like the two new bun videos, JJJ.
I'm also glad you showed the pretzel bun with hair sticks. I finally figured out just a day or two ago that it (doing the pretzel bun with hairsticks instead of clips) was NOT going to work with just one stick, and I'm glad that your video confirms that.  :)

I also was thinking, during the first version of your clip bun, "Hey, that's an awful lot like that Chinese wrapped bun! Except you're not using two hanks of hair!" to which you proved me wrong in the second half of the video.  ;D

About the only thing I could think of to say, suggest perhaps, about the videos, is mentioning that you like the rounded C-type clips better than the flattened or more vertical type claw clips. But all your fans probably already knew that.  :)

Have you ever heard of the Celtic Knot hair style? It's similar to the Pretzel bun, and I'd love to see any twists you could do with it.

Thank you!

Kittennoodlesoup: I did say in the clip bun vid that I like the "C" shape clips, plus I show it in the  braided pretzel bun demo. Those C shape ones hold best.

I need to look up the Celtic knot, I think cinnamon has a demo of it. She has some great styles on her youtube channel.

Thank you curlgirl64 :)

I am very flattered that you like my bun demos.
I have worked hard on them.

Thank you for the welcome also.

You're welcome!
It shows that you've worked hard on them and took the time to make sure they were quality and specific in the directions.  It's a pleasure to watch someone who puts in the time and wants what they are doing to be  understandable for all. ;)
