Hasani,
Didn't I exchange a couple of emails with you at some point not long after I lost my hair? Maybe it was when I announced that I was cutting it off the day before chemo started. I'm glad to hear you are in remission. I find out in May if I am.
In case I am thinking of someone else, I was diagnosed January 27, 2003 with Hodgkin's Lymphoma. I lost my hair mid-February. Then I was pounded with treatments for a long time. At some point my diagnosis was changed to something like Advanced Resistant Hodgkin's, but I can't remember the exact terminology. I kept working off and on until September. Then my disability kicked in, and I had to stop working. I had to have a bone marrow transplant. Those are yucky! That is my brief version of the last year. I just finished radiation early February. Preliminary tests look good, but I won't know until May if I'm in remission.
I know what you mean about looking at the mirror and doing a double-take. I still have long hair when I dream, so it is so hard to get used to having no hair, or very short as the case is right now.
How long is your hair now, if you don't mind saying? I was measured at an inch late February. I know it is a touch longer, but I'm not sure of the current length.
I'll shut up for now.
Peace,
Kari
