How about a swap board?
Jun 22nd, 2004 at 10:44am

Where we can swap items (or maybe sell them)? I think that would be fun! It might be fun to trade hair care products, hair toys we don't use anymore, etc. What do you think?  Smiley

I think this sounds like a good idea, esp. since many of us are from different places around the world.  Exotic hair toys from Bangladesh sound promising!

Anne-Marie, what part of Germany do you live in?  Part of my family is from Celle, Germany.

I think it should be fun. Because there isn't a swap board at the moment, I put my stuff up for swap on another board. But here is a link to that board in case there is something you are interested in!

That's interesting Cheesy Cheesy
I live about  25 miles from Göttingen, that's Northern Germany and not too far away from Celle, which is also in the state of Niedersachsen (the North).
Have you ever been to Germany?

Not yet, being only 13 I haven't even a passport.  But my father goes, and one of my sisters has been.  My father always gets teased because his name is Kermit, we have to explain our German backgound whenever someone inquires of it.  I just love the trinkets Dad brings back.  The hand-carved music boxs, that aren't really boxes at all Smiley, the candies, and in the most beautifully wrapped parcels!  You are so luckey to live there, when I am grown I plan to move there myself. Personally, I would love to have a swap board, but I'm worried about the legal implications for LongLocks.  The next time I go speak to my lawyer (which hopefully won't be anytime soon), I'll ask him what he thinks about it.  If he says a disclaimer will do the job, I'm all for it!

What could the legal implications be? That's interesting, because a lot of boards have swaps, and I don't think they checked if it would be wrong... I've often wondered if it was okay to send items that are not yours, especially if you are selling them. I'd be interested to know what your lawyer says!  Wink

I just read this old post. I would be interested in that, too, if all legal aspects are taken care of.
