Have you tried using a bit of your conditioner as a leave in?  Jojoba oil also works for my flyaways.  When I want more control on an updo, I will use aloe vera gel.

Some people have said that spritzing their hair with distilled water that has a bit of essential oil dispersed in it works for static and fly aways.

I have bad flyaways that frame my hair at the hairline and they are thin whispy babyhair type flyawayas and REALLY ANNOYING!  recently I put a tiny tiny bit of EVOO in my hair when it was dry and then braided it and then raked the flyaway area lightly with my fingernails to try to get the little flyaways mixed in with the rest of the hair on my head and they stayed there! it was pretty amazing considering NTOHING makes them stay down, its amazing how a think whispy flyaway can stand STRAIGHT up against gels and creams of all kind!  so yeah, try oils, but only a tiny bit!
