Be careful making the banana mixture! I've seen two posts so far (can't remember who) and they had a hard time getting the banana strings washed out. So you probably want to make it in a blender full-blast, or "shave" the strings off. I think you can run the edge of a spoon down the sides to get them off.

Do you do seperate rinses....as in first the honey & warm water rinse and then the ACV and water rinse? Do you do these rinses AFTER conditioning and then leave in??

They have some dried honey in them and they leave my hair all shiny! There can't be much in them--the honey is the last ingredient listed and I use one bag to 2 cups of water, but I'm definitely shinier.

Also I am really glad I saw this, Im about to start trying a vinegar rinse on my hair after W & C but I liek the sounds of also adding honey. Ive never put honey OR vinegar in my hair, but the results sound lovely. i think i will try it!

I've used honey to lighten and I love it! It rinses out easily, don't worry!

I just posted this in my Herbal Hair Color post, but let me show y'all here too! Here's my hair after a few hours sitting in the sun with a (rather sticky) lightener made of alfalfa honey, tea made of chamomile and mullein, and a squeeze or two of lemon. If you compare to my avatar photo, you can see how nicely it lightened my really dark hair, and the shine and bounce was tremendous! Grin
