Favorite Book Hair
May 25th, 2008 at 4:56pm

I am a librarian's daughter, and all this talk about favorite movie hair has gotten me on to books as well.  Here are mine:
Lays of Beleriand-- The bit where Luthien grows her hair is beautiful!  I wish I could do that too...
The Waterless Sea-- Yeah, Keela is evil but her hair is beautiful.  Not to be outdone, the good kids come in with Calwyn (she's my hair inspiration) and Halasaa for the guys.
The Broken Crown-The Sun Sword-- I bought this book for the cover.  Diora has beautiful hair and the style on the front is amazing.  The actual book is complex and political, but very good.
The Cry of the Icemark- Thirrin's hair on the cover is amazing.  I've been trying to convince a red-headed friend of mine to grow her hair out for years but she hasn't done it.  Unfortunately.  It would be beautiful.
The Kushiel's Dart-Avatar-Chosen series.  All the people in Terre D'Ange have long hair!

Does anyone else have any favorite book hair?

The whole Sword of Truth series has lots of hair inspiration.  At least the way I've pictured their hair to be.
Also, 'The Deed of Paksennarion' and 'The Mists of Avalon' are other hair favorites, as well as my 2 favorite novels.

Oh my gosh!  I bought that book for the cover too!  It's too complicated a read for me, it took half the book before I was able to tell the characters apart Embarrassed   But the gorgeous cover more than makes up for the difficulty in reading

I'm probably going to go get all of these books now!

And I've always wanted Amy's hair from Little Women. Golden curls that swing just elegntly, Lou always describes her hair as being really pretty, and I really want it! I am so envious of those natural curls...
Also Jo's hair (before she cuts it DX) would be nice too. Just a really long, chesnut mane...how pretty in my head!

In Neil Gaiman's book Stardust, the main character has his hair "brushed" long-and it grows instantly as it is brushed. I need to get a brush like that.
