Feel dumb asking but...
Dec 10th, 2008 at 3:31pm

Hey ladies. When you all are doing a braid on yourself, can you braid all the way down to the end with your hands behind your back?  I can't. I get through about half way, and flip my hair over my shoulder to finish to the end. Is there a way I can avoid this. Or can nobody else do it either. I wish sometimes I had really super long arms.  Thanks

Honey, it's impossible to keep your arms behind your back when braiding. The braid must come over your shoulder to be finished. This doesn't affect the look or pattern of the braid at all.

yeah I think once it gets to a certain length you just can't reach.  I flip my brain over my shoulder as soon as it gets past the nape of my neck.  I sometimes can't flip it right now and I get a little funny kink in my braid where I messed up the order of the hair pieces, but you never can see it!  Hehe.

I've flipped my brain over my shoulder before by accident.  I could never find it again by myself.  It's so embarrassing to have to stand there while a coworker locates yr brain. Cheesy

My hair is at the stage where I can almost braid it all behind me; I look down and braid up as far as I can.  When I flip it over my shoulder, there's always a kink; I don't miss a strand, but the place where I alter the tension and direction of the braid is slightly twisted.  Also, then it always wants to flip itself over that shoulder as I'm walking around.  I'm guessing that will change as my hair grows longer.
