Hi there.

I have just re-registered because I tried logging in with my username and discovered I have become an ex member.

Is there any way my old username can be jump started again? I was unable to come on the boards for some time as my computer broke down, and have only just got back up and running.

My username was Botticelli_Muse and I would really appreciate it if its possible get rid of my ex-member status.

Thanks heaps in advance,

Michelle

I've tried everything I could and even contacted the authors of the software, and I'm sorry to say we can't re-connect you to your original user name.  However, if you want to use your original user ID, I can help you get that back.  Just let me know.

Thanks for going to all that trouble bikerbraid, I appreciate it.
What is the difference between a username and a user ID? Does that mean I can keep my Botticelli_ Muse username but wont be able to edit any previous posts or profile etc? I guess at least if I have the same name it would be easier. Could I use the same avatar if I re-do that too?

And how long do you have to be logged out before you become an ex member? I would hate for that to happen again.

Sorry for all the questions, hope I make sense.

The user name is what you log in as, but the user ID is what people see.   For instance, my user name is rskline but my user ID is bikerbraid.  So, yes, you could keep Botticelli_Muse as your user name, but won't be able to edit the posts you had from your previous user name.  Or you could keep your new user name and change your user ID to Botticelli_Muse

We typically purge users after about 6 months of inactivity.
