follow the directions?
Jul 28th, 2009 at 9:34pm

I just bought a tube of Paul Mitchell Super Charged Moisturizer today, its a deep conditioner to be used weekly. The directions say to apply to clean, damp hair, leave on 3 to 5 minutes, and then rinse. I know that hot oil treatments say to leave on for 1 minute then rinse, but its better if you leave those on. So I didnt know if I should follow these directions or what? Thanks!

I think I would try it according to the directions first.  Then, once you know how it works for you, you can experiment with leaving it on for longer periods of time and see if it makes a difference.

Deep conditioning treatments can be left on as long as you wish. Unless you have some kind of allergy to them or something, in which case you should switch. Most of us leave them in from half an hour to overnight.

MichelleR said exactly what I would say.  So, ditto Michelle's post!

I would combine Michelle's and Angel's advice.  Follow directions the first time and then, if there are no adverse effects, I'd leave it in as long as you please after that.   Wink
