I had never heard of this and just saw this video.  I definitely want to try it!

Neat video!  I like that style and it seems really easy!

As I usually do, I got caught up in watching some of the other videos in the list to the right, which typically have similar topics.  I had watched two or three other videos showing various hair bun styles when I clicked on one that was titled, Japanese Buns.  I was rather excited to see some pretty, maybe elaborate buns that would give me something to look forward to doing with my hair.  But alas, this video had nothing to do with hair, and I hurriedly closed the window with a blush on my face.   Shocked

I think I'd pin the braid down.  I'm going to try it-I don't know if I have enough length but I definitely have enough bulk that I don't usually do french twists anymore.

I think the thing I found most helpful about that video is the way in which she tucks her ends.  I have been trying to do a french twist on my hair, but it's so long that I don't know how to tuck it!  I haven't tried this technique yet but I definitely am going to!

Also LOL about Japanese Buns!  I would have done the same thing! Roll Eyes

I've been told that I have the right length for a standard french braid and that the layers are actually a good thing.  Maybe I just have ten thumbs and/or my hair's too smooth.  I've been watching a lot of hair tutorials.  I've been trying to suss the chignon tutorials. There's got to be a way to do a chignon without hair pins.
