Hello fellow long hair lovers.  As I am sure you have all noticed, the activity level here at the Salon has been dwindling to an almost inactive state.  We know this is not due to people no longer being interested in the care of long hair - that will continue forever.  Social network sites like Facebook have made message boards like this less necessary.  Independent message boards just can't compete with the millions that have congregated on the social network sites.

So, it is with sadness that we announce that the LongLocks Salon message board will "close its doors" on Sunday, October 24th, 2010.  The boards will still be available for viewing and reading but new posts will no longer be allowed.  The LongLocks hairSticks Boutique is still open and is not affected by this.  Please be sure to visit the boutique an peruse the beautiful hairsticks that Susan has designed to accessorize your deserving hair.

We've had a lot of fun. We've educated a lot of people on the care and handling of long hair and helped spread the word that long hair is beautiful.
