There are only two special order versions of this design available.
Every rose in the LongLocks RoseStix style is hand sculpted of premium quality polymer clay, petal by petal, by jewelry artist Susan Maxwell Schmidt. Once fired, the particles within the polymer clay fuse into a strong, porcelain-like material that is not brittle. Ms. Schmidt mixes her own custom clay colors and often uses mediums such as pearlessence, crushed glass and metallic pigments to enhance these breathtaking flower blossoms. Just as in nature, no two roses are ever exactly alike, each has its own unique beauty!
This LongLocks RoseStix design is done the LongLocks ArtiStix style. The end of each of these hair accessories is adorned with a glossy sunny yellow hand sculpted rose, nestled into an ornate Turkish vermeil (genuine 22kt. gold over sterling silver) filigree bead cap. A gold plated topaz crystal rhinestone rondelle occupies the center position. A Swarovski Olivine bicone crystal, topped with a Turkish vermeil filigree bead cap, sits below. Gold plated heishi beads complete the hair jewelry design. The hair sticks are elegantly carved bone, hand painted in a whispy, abstract design in hues of olivine green, yellow and topaz, under layers of protective clear enamel. These one-of-a-kind special edition LongLocks hair accessories measure 5 7/8" long from end to end.
