Hand crafted lampwork beads are painstakingly created one at a time by bead artists using specialized glass and a high temperature propane torch. Each bead has its own character and is in itself a work of art. A true bead artist brings incredible depth to each bead, and each artist has their own signature style. Indeed the designs, and even the beads themselves, are as individual and as varied as the artists who create them.
The end of each of these hair accessories is adorned with a deliciouos transparent topaz, gold, copper and green lampwork lentil bead, hand crafted by glass artist Kimberly Cook, nestled into a gold plated filigree bead cap and a vermeil (genuine 22kt. gold over sterling silver) double-ended
fluted bead cap. An extremely rare vintage Swarovski Smokey Quartz Aurora Borealis tapered crystal, topped with an ornate Turkish vermeil filigree bead cap, sits below. Gold plated heishi beads complete the design. The hair sticks are carved bone, hand finished with a mystical design in shimmering hues of antique bronze, gold and copper, under layers of protective clear enamel. These one-of-a-kind special edition LongLocks hair accessories measure 5 7/8" long from end to end.
