Hand crafted lampwork beads are painstakingly created one at a time by bead artists using specialized glass and a high temperature propane torch. Each bead has its own character and is in itself a work of art. A true bead artist brings incredible depth to each bead, and each artist has their own signature style. Indeed the designs, and even the beads themselves, are as individual and as varied as the artists who create them.
The end of each of these hair accessories is adorned with an awesome encased twisted olivine green and orange ribbon cane lampwork bead by very creative glass artist Bill Grout, nestled into a double-ended Turkish vermeil (genuine 22kt. gold over sterling silver) bead cap. An extremely rare vintage Swarovski Light Olivine Aurora Borealis bicone crystal occupies the center position. An exceedingly rare vintage Swarovski Hyacinth Aurora Borealis tapered crystal, topped with a double-ended Turkish vermeil filigree bead cap, sits below. Gold plated heishi beads complete the design. The hair sticks are elegantly hand carved wood finished in satiny olivine green, under layers of protective clear enamel. These one-of-a-kind extra long special edition Rapunzel length hair accessories measure 7 5/8" from end to end.
