Hand crafted lampwork beads are painstakingly created one at a time by bead artists using specialized glass and a high temperature propane torch. Each bead has its own character and is in itself a work of art. A true bead artist brings incredible depth to each bead, and each artist has their own signature style. Indeed the designs, and even the beads themselves, are as individual and as varied as the artists who create them.
The end of each of these hair accessories is adorned with a phenomenal encased white lampwork bead with applied light amethyst purple and white glass flowers, hand made by glass artist Jena Moore, nestled into a Turkish vermeil (genuine 22kt. gold over sterling silver) filigree bead cap. A Swarovski Light Amethyst Aurora Borealis margarita (flower shaped) crystal occupies the center position. A Swarovski Light Amethyst bicone crystal, topped with an ornate Turkish vermeil filigree bead cap, sits below. Gold plated heishi beads complete the design. The hair sticks are elegantly carved bone, hand finished in shimmering gold over light amethyst purple, under layers of protective clear enamel. These one-of-a-kind special edition hair accessories measure 6" from end to end.
