Hand crafted lampwork beads are painstakingly created one at a time by bead artists using specialized glass and a high temperature propane torch. Each bead has its own character and is in itself a work of art. A true bead artist brings incredible depth to each bead, and each artist has their own signature style. Indeed the designs, and even the beads themselves, are as individual and as varied as the artists who create them.
The end of each of these hair accessories is adorned with a divine aqua blue, rose pink, mauve, lime green and lavender purple lampwork lentil bead, hand crafted by glass artist Kari Persson, nestled into a silver plated filigree bead cap and a double-ended Turkish sterling silver fluted bead cap. A Swarovski Aquamarine bicone crystal, topped with an ornate Turkish sterling silver filigree bead cap, sits below. Silver plated heishi beads complete the hair jewelry design. The hair sticks are elegantly carved bone hand painted in a whispy, abstract design of aqua blue and purple under layers of protective clear enamel. These one-of-a-kind special edition LongLocks hair accessories measure 5 7/8" long from end to end.
