Hand crafted lampwork beads are painstakingly created one at a time by bead artists using specialized glass and a high temperature propane torch. Each bead has its own character and is in itself a work of art. A true bead artist brings incredible depth to each bead, and each artist has their own signature style. Indeed the designs, and even the beads themselves, are as individual and as varied as the artists who create them.
The end of each of these hair accessories is adorned with a divine transparent salmon pink, gold and light rose lampwork pillow bead, hand made by glass artist Mariya Anton, nestled into a Turkish vermeil (genuine 22kt. gold over sterling silver) filigree bead cap. A Swarovski Padparadscha Aurora Borealis oval crystal, topped with an ornate Turkish vermeil filigree bead cap, sits below. Gold plated heishi beads complete the design. The hair sticks are elegantly carved bone, hand finished in saturated luminous hues of salmon pink, copper and gold, under layers of protective clear enamel. These one-of-a-kind special edition LongLocks hair accessories measure 6" long from end to end.
