Hand crafted lampwork beads are painstakingly created one at a time by bead artists using specialized glass and a high temperature propane torch. Each bead has its own character and is in itself a work of art. A true bead artist brings incredible depth to each bead, and each artist has their own signature style. Indeed the designs, and even the beads themselves, are as individual and as varied as the artists who create them.
The end of each of these hair accessories is adorned with a spectacular opaque turquoise, periwinkle blue, black and white lampwork bead hand made by very gifted glass artist Alisha White, nestled into a Turkish sterling silver bead cap. A gorgeous vintage West German opaque periwinkle blue aurora borealis crystal occupies the center position. A turquoise teardrop crystal, topped with a Turkish sterling silver filigree bead cap, sits below. Silver plated heishi beads complete the design. The hair sticks are hand crafted of bone, carved into elegant twists and finished in satiny aqua blue under layers of protective clear enamel. These one-of-a-kind special edition hair accessories measure 5 1/2" from end to end.
