Every rose in the LongLocks RoseStix style is hand sculpted of premium quality polymer clay, petal by petal, by jewelry artist Susan Maxwell Schmidt. Once fired, the particles within the polymer clay fuse into a strong, porcelain-like material that is not brittle. Ms. Schmidt mixes her own custom clay colors and often uses mediums such as pearlessence, crushed glass and metallic pigments to enhance these breathtaking flower blossoms. Just as in nature, no two roses are ever exactly alike, each has its own unique beauty!
This LongLocks RoseStix design is done in the LongLocks GlimmerStix style. The end of each of these hair accessories is adorned with a beautiful hand sculpted pearl white rose, nestled into a Turkish sterling silver filigree bead cap. A silver plated Swarovski White Opal crystal rhinestone rondelle occupies the center position. A Swarovski White Opal bicone crystal, topped with an ornate Turkish sterling silver filigree bead cap, sits below. Silver plated heishi beads complete the hair jewelry design. The hair sticks are crafted of bone, carved into elegant twists and hand painted in satiny pearl white, under layers of protective clear enamel. These one-of-a-kind special edition LongLocks hair accessories measure 5 7/8" long from end to end.
