Hand crafted lampwork beads are painstakingly created one at a time by bead artists using specialized glass and a high temperature propane torch. Each bead has its own character and is in itself a work of art. A true bead artist brings incredible depth to each bead, and each artist has their own signature style. Indeed the designs, and even the beads themselves, are as individual and as varied as the artists who create them.
The end of each of these hair accessories is adorned with a divine encased lilac purple, turquoise and royal blue lampwork bead by glass artist Allison Turner, nestled into an ornate Turkish sterling silver bead cap. A silver plated turquoise blue aurora borealis rhinestone rondelle occupies the center positoin. A Swarovski Lilac crystal sits below. Silver plated heishi beads complete the design. The hair sticks are hand carved bone, finished in an abstract decoupage design of lilac purple, turquoise and royal blue under layers of protective clear enamel. These one-of-a-kind special edition LongLocks hair accessories measure 5 7/8" from end to end.
