 Please be sure to read the terms concerning special order versions of LongLocks HairSticks on our Ordering Information page before requesting a design.  There is only one special order version of this design available. Countries of the Far East, primarily China, India and Japan, have an ancient tradition in beadmaking. The oldest beads found in China were of stone, made about 16,000 BC, and found in the Neolithic caves at Shou-kou-dian. The written character for “jade” and “bead” is actually the same in Chinese and Japanese. Beautiful beads made of such wonderful components as porcelain, glass, ceramic, crystal and precious metals continue to be made by the gifted artisans in these countries, and exported all over the world. Alrighty, pay attention here, these gorgeous beads take some explainin'! The end of each of these hair pins is adorned with a Chinese crystal unlike any I have ever seen before. The clear cushion crystal has a special effect finish that is gold when viewed from the exterior and silver on the side that shines through the crystal! AWESOME! This gorgeous "disco ball" faceted bead is nestled into a silver plated filigree bead cap. A gold plated black diamond crystal rhinestone rondelle occupies the center position. A starlight (black diamond aurora borealis) Preciosa crystal, topped with a silver plated filigree bead cap, sits below. Gold plated heishi beads complete the hair jewelry design. The hair pins are elegantly carved wood, hand painted in satiny pewter, under layers of protective clear enamel. These one-of-a-kind extra long LongLocks RapunzelStix hair accessories measure approximately 7 1/2" from end to end.
