The Chinese and East Indians have perfected the art of enameling metal beads in beautiful designs and vibrant colors. This enameling process is known as "cloisonné." Cloisonné has been used for centuries by jewelers to create their designs. The famous French jeweler Fabergé, who crafted the spectacular Fabergé Impearial Easter Eggs for the czars of Russia, used cloisonné extensively in his magnificent creations.
The end of each of these hair accessories is adorned with a gorgeous gold plated plum purple Chinese cloisonné bead with a sparkling crystal rhinestone at the center on each side, nestled into a gold plated filigree bead cap. A Swarovski Amethyst bicone crystal, topped with a gold plated filigree bead cap, sits below. Gold plated heishi beads complete the design. The hair sticks are elegantly carved bone, dyed black and hand finished in shimmering plum purple special effect metallic pigment that flashes stunning iridescence with movement, under layers of protective clear enamel. These one-of-a-kind LongLocks hair accessories measure 5 7/8" long from end to end.
