Hand crafted lampwork beads are painstakingly created one at a time by bead artists using specialized glass and a high temperature propane torch. Each bead has its own character and is in itself a work of art. A true bead artist brings incredible depth to each bead, and each artist has their own signature style. Indeed, the designs are as individual and as varied as the artists who create them.
The end of each of these hair accessories is adorned with a phenomenal encased multicolor floral on aqua blue lampwork bead by extraordinarily talented bead artist Allison Turner, nestled into a sterling silver filigree bead cap. A Swarovski Tanzanite teardrop crystal occupies the center position. A vintage West German bicolor sea green and aqua blue crystal, topped with a sterling silver filigree bead cap, sits below. Silver plated heishi beads complete the design. The hair sticks are elegantly hand carved bone, dyed black and finished in sea green, aqua blue and purple special effect metallic pigment that flashes stunning iridescence with movement, under layers of protective clear enamel.
