Hand crafted lampwork beads are painstakingly created one at a time by bead artists using specialized glass and a high temperature propane torch. Each bead has its own character and is in itself a work of art. A true bead artist brings incredible depth to each bead, and each artist has their own signature style. Indeed the designs, and even the beads themselves, are as individual and as varied as the artists who create them.
The end of each of these hair accessories is adorned with a breathtaking striped lampwork bead in zircon blue, tanzanite purple and copper, hand crafted by the glass artists of Moose Trail Beads, nestled into a Turkish sterling silver filigree bead cap. A silver plated Swarovski Tanzanite crystal rhinestone rondelle occupies the center position. A Swarovski Blue Zircon bicone crystal, topped with an ornate Turkish sterling silver filigree bead cap, sits below. Silver plated heishi beads complete the design. The hair sticks are elegantly carved bone finished with copper and silver Italian metal leaf, hand painted and buffed in tanzanite purple and zircon blue, under several coats of protective clear enamel. These one-of-a-kind hair LongLocks accessories measure 5 7/8" long from end to end.
