I have 29 hairsticks (I think). Some are wood, some are metal, some are plastic. Some are elegant, some are funky. I have hairsticks in the bathroom, bedroom, livingroom, by my sewing machine, by the computer, at the office, in the car, and in my purse. Do I have too many?????? NEVER!!! ;D

:) I was just about to make a thread since I have come back from the Icing at my local mall. While plastic and metal mass-produced sticks can never come close to Rapunzel's great creations, the Icing has gotten some great stuff just recently. I just bought 4 pairs tonight that brought my collection to 20, including 3 longlocks pairs. The hair stick selection at the icing has recently expanded to include huge single sticks, many chignon pins, sticks with feathers, and sticks with designs placed inside like in paperweights. Longer hair is definitely in style now, and I haven't seen designs like these anywhere off the internet. Everyone should check it out!

What's "The Icing"? Is it like a Claire's?

I know what you mean... I have hairsticks *everywhere.* But if you think that's bad, you should see the beads and crystals! I even find them in the washing machine :x It's funny, I tell people they don't want to set foot in the studio unless they don't mind walking out sparkling. You just can't avoid it, there's so much sparkly stuff everywhere. |

The Icing is owned by the same company as Claire's. They carry a lot of the same products, but geared to a slightly more mature audience. |

Well I must be a virgin of hairsticks ::)
We've only just got a Claire's in the UK where I live and so far I have only got 3 pairs as a lot of them are a bit cheap and nasty. But the ones that I've got I love and am always on the look out for better designs. ;D Maz |

The Icing has a better selction than Claire's and they separate whole sections by color, usually. Many of the designs I talked about are available in brown, black, clear, and some colors. What blew my mind was the selection of hairsticks as the main accessory rather than clips or anything. Look for these to explode in fashion soon.
