what's everyones favourite and least favourite part of their haircare routine ?

favourite ~ the REALLY silky feeling my hair has when rinsing out conditioner...mmmm silky!

least favourite ~ those horrible little knots that take aaaaages to pick and comb out grrrr

Most favorite:  combing through tangle free hair that is clean and has slight waves for body.

Least favorite:  detangling the short little hairs at the nape of my neck.

I have a tie for favorite: Once all the knots are out and my hubby brushes and braids my hair for me.  I *love* having my hair brushed.  The other is collecting hair jewelry, especially unusual vintage stuff.  Besides hairsticks (of course), my favs are a beautiful filigree sterling silver barette hand made by a silver artist, my collection of early 20th century Chinese Maio Minority silver hair jewelry, and of course my vintage Chinese kingfisher hair pins... especially the ones that look like crickets!

Least favorite: Definitely getting those little knots out at the nape of my neck.  I've been plagued by them for years,  and absolutely despise them and they are so irritating to get out!  They are the only real knots I ever get in my hair, even as long as it is.

My favorite is running my fingers through my curls, their shape is always so surprisingly... solid I guess (I've been brushing my hair all my life and never realized how curly it is).

My least favorite is either the way that my hair all stands on end after a long day (probably from me clutching it all the time)!

Favorites: 1) having my hair clean & dry, and entirely detangled and combed a lot
2) having a fresh, beautiful braid put in
3) wearing it out to some special event or a date with hubby, and people notice and compliment

Worst: 1) tangles!  I get tons of 'em from lint (although I have no carpeting in my house, mostly simple curtains, and a waterbed
2) accidentally yanking strands out that weren't going to come out (I mourn for them)
3) having to wear my hair in updos so much

Egads, I get this too, and you know from where?  My pillows!  I *love* 100% down pillows but those tiny little feathers always work through the ticking and I find it in tiny knots sometimes.  My brush ends up full of white lint eventually as well and that stuff is impossible to remove :/

Me too!! I hate the feeling of satin pillowcases (cold somehow),therefore I have thick,comfortable down pillows with flannel pillowcases -but the little feathers & fuzz I have to get out of my hair in the mornings are a pain :P

Apart from that,I also get those nasty tangles in the nape area,especially if I'm wearing a low ponytail.

But I love brushing out my hair after taking it down,and trying out new hair toys ;)

Favorite:  A total stranger stopping me to tell me how nice my hair is.  

Least Favorite: static electricity - I get shocked all the time, in all weather and even with StaticGuard.
