Title: Yet ANOTHER post from the new girl...
Post by Rua on Sep 13th, 2004 at 1:22pm
Hiya! I'm having loads of fun with this site. As I mentioned in one of my other postings, I have been lookin at this site for months now, but haven't joined until today. I dunno why I didn't do it sooner! (Guess I've always just been the spectator type!)

My fine and slightly wavy-ish hair is a few inches past my shoulders and very red (been colouring it red since I was 13. I don't even remember what my original colour was! lol).

I like to use various oils on it. (Coconut, Sweet Almond, Olive), but I dont have a favourite shampoo or anything. (ALWAYS open to suggestions!)
It used to be Pantene, but then I got paranoid from hearing other people say that it's bad for your hair.

My favourite hair accessories are donuts at the moment. (Its a wee spongy thing you put in your hair to make a bun on the top of your head.) Because I work for an airline and everyone wears their hair up, the donut is the most easy and professional looking thing to use AND it makes me look like I have more hair than I really do. LOL

I would love nothing more than to have hair down to my bum. It's been a life dream of mine that I have yet to acheive. Maybe some day!

Those donuts sound great!  I wish I could find one
to use!  Welcome Rua!

Ah they're brilliant! You can buy them in the Claire Accessories out here for about €4....but I don't know if they sell them in the Claires in the states.

You just put your hair in a ponytail (with the hair put through the hole in the middle of the donut) and then wrap the hair back to cover the whole outside of the donut and fasten with pins. You get an absolutely PERFECT bun that stays all day.  It's a very common thing to see nearly all the airline women in Dublin Airport have them. Very chic!
If I come across anything on the net about them, I'll post it.

Now if I could just get my husband to stop trying to eat the blasted thing....LOL

Mmm.....donut.....

Thanks, Rua!  I'll look at Claire's over here, maybe they
have some, it sounds just like what I'm looking for
for my length hair.
