Thought I'd share another piece.. It occurred to me I've never shared this one on Longlocks.

Why do women go to the bathroom in groups?

--we have an irrational fear that if for some weird reason we're locked in, we'll at least have a companion. (More kudos if the companion has a cell phone).
--that's where and when we change into another pair of shoes. Do remember, we keep at least two pairs in the car trunk.
--Mom said to give her a call.  
--we need to apply more concealer to cover up the tattoo we haven't told you about.
--we’re guys in disguise, adjusting our wigs and other costume accessories to a lovely feminine perfection.
--the application of makeup is an exceedingly complex ritual. Not only does it take a great amount of fine motor skill, makeup application often requires the presence of at least one other woman. The second woman serves as a spotter, in case the first panics.
--we need help doing the newspaper crossword while on the john. Who knew Broadway trivia would be useful for something?
--we seek TRUTH to the question, "Does this make me look fat?", but not that our peers can give us truthful answers anyway. We only ask for the heck of it, hoping for the best.
--on the occasion that a particular stall is out of bathroom tissue, we can avoid the embarrassment of having to ask a stranger for some. Sometimes, if we go into the bathroom by ourselves, and run out of
bathroom tissue, we end up sitting and buying time for a friend to come hand us some.
--we sometimes get bored on dates too.
--we take inventory of our purse contents, rearranging everything in alphanumerical and chronological order. Twice. We do this partly out of sheer habit and partly to drive our dates completely insane.  
--we're not strong enough to push the flush handle by ourselves, so as soon as we’re appropriately dressed, we help each other out.
--it's where women return calls from their OB/GYNs...
     or detox/rehab facilities
     or parole officers
     or other men we also happen to be dating
     or perhaps we're dating our parole officers. Bad idea, huh?
--women are incapable of fixing their hair with the help of only a mirror; instead, we ask for the opinion of another woman who may or may not have good judgment. We do it anyway because she’s a “friend”
and we (usually) trust her advice.
--we're secret government agents, criminal masterminds, or foreign spies. Even worse, we have listening devices hidden in our bras.
--it's a cult gathering! (What else?!)
--Bathrooms sometimes have a window, through which we can only hope we fit. Perhaps the group excursion is going so terribly that we're willing to use it as a last-resort escape route.

Thanks for sharing that - I've often wondered why women go to the restroom in groups.  I guess I've always been an independent and either went by myself or waited until I got home!!

Hmm...I'm must show this to hubby. He's constantly asking this age old question, and I never quite know how to answer him.
I particularly like the bit about being a secret agent...;)

In my case, many of my gf's like to wear clothing that, while pretty, is not practical.

One of them needed me to unlace her top so she could pee, then I had to lace it back up!

Me too.  
Hey, did you know that women are like kidneys?  Yeah, they go in pairs. *groan*

Maybe its because we all always have to pee at the sametime at least thats how it is with me and my friends. ;D

Now I finally know 8-)

So, I suppose ladies wonder why men have to read while in the restroom?
