Title: I suppose I should say hello.. Post by Bardic_Love on Dec 12th, 2004 at 12:28am
So, Hello. I recently came across this site while looking for some hair accessories to give me detailing ideas for my writing. After reading around some I decided to join. Well, to say a bit about me, I'm from Florida. I've lived here most of my life and I love it. I enjoy writing and reading and I spend a lot of my spare time lost in my favorite books or writing on my own work.
Seeing as this is a hair forum I'll say a bit about my own. I have a true love for long hair, and have had my own hair quite long for years now. It's currently down to about my hips where it sort of 'feathers out' due to lack of having it cut in a long time. I adore elaborate hair style and long hair, though I have a lot of trouble doing my own hair. I tend to rely on my friends to help me with that, even with the simplest styles. Although it's something I really enjoy I have a hard time of it myself, which can be rather dissapointing or frustrating. Anyway, I hope I haven't rambled on too much. It's nice to have found a site like this so I hope I'll be able to get along well here. |

WELCOME! ;D Great to have you on board and I'm glad you are delurking... Your hair sounds lovely, and it also sounds like you've got TAPERED ENDS! ::envy envy envy:: I adore tapered ends but my hair is naturally too porous for it to work. It tangles like the D.ickens if I let it go without a microtrim.
Lovely to meet you and wishing you the best of artistic vision. and that's a beautiful avatar :-* Anais |

My hair tangles quite easily. I always have to keep it back when I'm in the car with the windows down or outside, elsewise it'll become a regular bird's nest. I love the picture in your avatar by the way. Thank ya'll for the warm welcome. I really appriciate it. :) |

Welcome, welcome, Bardic Love!
You're hair sounds so lovely! I really look forward to seeing any tips and posts you may leave around the boards! (My hair tangle soooo easily too. Have you got any tips for that problem?) :D |

I would probably be more of a tip-seeker on that and a lot of other things. Even though I've had long hair for quite a while there's a lot I need to learn about the care for it, styling, and such (some of which I hope to learn here, as this seems like a very good place to do so). As far as the tangles go, normally I just try to avoid them by putting my hair back or up in a clip for a while.

Welcome welcome Bardic Love!
You're hair sounds just loverly, and I hope you'll make yourself welcome on the boards! Love to see new members... As for tips with styling... all I can say is practice makes perfect! My hair's about 2 inches above my waistline so I'm sure your hip-length hair will likely be a bit more difficult to work with (however, I can't contain my envy.. how much I wish for hip length hair!) but I can tell you, it just took for experiementing and some practice but now I can put my hair up in pretty much any way I please! As long as I can get a good picture of the hairstyle... Speaking of which, does anybody know of some websites that are dedicated to long hair styles? Or maybe styles from some movies.. Most websites that say they have "styles" usually have pictures of women with their hair down.. which is great, but I'm looking for new ways to put mine up! *laughs* |
