Title: sage tea to restore color Post by faithwrites on Feb 16th, 2005 at 5:48pm
Hello. I read the article on this site about how a sage and rosemary tea blend restores color to graying hair. I've read that on other sites, too. I've been using the tea for about five weeks now and it has not restored color. Has anyone here had success with this?
Thanks! Laura ::) |

Hi Laura and welcome!
Can you tell us a bit more about your hair? Is is chemically colored or treated? What color are you trying to restore it to? How have you been using the sage and rosemary tea? How often have you used it? |

Hi and thanks for the welcome!
My hair is not chemically treated or colored. Had it relaxed a couple of times, but that was many years ago. My hair is medium brown with red and blond highlights. It is still mostly my "original" color. I've been simmering rosemary and sage tea in a pot for about an hour or so and then leaving it sit overnight. I keep the brew for about two weeks and during that time will once or twice run the tea over my hair several times into a pot in the sink and reuse. The rest of the time I keep it in a spray bottle in the fridge and spray it on my hair most days and massage it into my hair and scalp. As I said, I've been doing this for about five weeks. I will say that my brown hair seems more highlighted since using the tea but the grays don't appear to be much different. Perhaps a little less shiny maybe. Oh, and I have curly hair. Which might account for why it's taking a while. Kinky hair shaft and all. Thanks! ::) Laura |
