Hi im new here on the boards and wanted to say hi to all the long hair loyals out there. I have curly 28 " hair and i keep measuring my hair 2 or 3 times a day. Am I optimistic that my hair might grow 1/2 a day or am i just not patient. :P ???

im so happy i joined the board because i would love support to grow my hair rear length, and help others in the process. My daily routines is a rinse in cold water(I heard it grows much faster) and a spritz with lavender and distilled water.

Hide your tape measure. Actually, even better, FIRE your tape measure! ;D ;D Give it to a family member or a friend and say, "Make sure I don't find it"... and tell them not to give it to you no matter how much you beg.

Put your hair up in an updo, more often than not. That way, when you take your hair down, it will look longer.

Is it a compulsion? or is it just an obsession?

I'm with Anais - get rid of the tape measure! Measuring frequently will not help your hair grow any faster. Pick a date a month or two out and don't measure until then.

We have a a monthly measuring thread that many post their measurements in, but many of us don't post every month. No pressure, just post when you are ready.

[glb]WELCOME!!![/glb] I am obsessed with not measuring my hair. I put it off as long as possible so that after months of not measuring I am pleasantly surprised to see the difference since the last measurement. ;)

Thanks for all your helpful tips.

Anais , its an obsession but a long gone one. I threw my tape measure up on top of my armoire so i wont be able to get it unless i jump 60 feet in the air( only through super natural powers) or i get a chair from downstairs.

Now its a sunny morning and ill tell you guys a little about my routine so far. Well i cleansed my hair with extra cold water and then i combed out my knots, put it in an elegant sleek bun( which my hubby compllimented me and said i look cute).

Welcome Curlygirl. I agree with Ceridwen, my tape measure lies 'cuz I KNOW my hair is longer than it says -- I see my long hair in my dreams every night, and it is definitely longer ::)

I had a dream that my hair was up to my covering my rear! :o but its not what do dreams like that mean?
