Title: Hi!
Post by fiore_emily on Sep 10th, 2005 at 3:42pm
Hi everyone.  I'm new to the board and wanted to introduce myself.  I got a pair of hair sticks as a gift a bit more than a year ago and often come back to this site to look at the other hairsticks but never joined the board until now.  I have brownish/blackish curly hair and although I don't measure it,  when I pull the curls straight it's waist lenght.   Not all of it though because it's layered (working on growing those out right now).  I don't really have any favorite hair accessories but I used to wear hair ribbons a lot.  Well that was until I moved way up north (back w/ my family) and I got some comments like 'aren't you a little too old to be wearing hair ribbons?'  I feel kind of self - consious wearing them out in public now, but even though I'm 18 where I used to live lots of girls my age liked ribbons so I guess it's regional?  Well that's me, and I'm glad I found a hair board!

Hello and welcome!

I see you have already jumped right in on the messages, so I'm sure we will have fun getting to know you better.  Your hair sounds delightful.

As for the hair ribbons - in my opinion - do what you like.  You are already going against the stream by having long curly hair, so what's wrong with adding to the list?  ;D

[glb]HELLO, AND WELCOME[/glb]

about the ribbons- i think they are just jealous, so do what you like :D and in my opinion there is no age for hair toys i know alot of women who wear the little butterfly, and flowery things (i do too :)). hey, maybe sooner or later you'll start a new hair thread and they will start wearing them too ;)

Hi and welcome!

I used to wear hair ribbons too - I still like them, and would wear them if I can find the same ones.  I think it was more like wide yarn than ribbon.

Welcome to the board.  I think hair ribbons are wonderfully feminine, and it is your hair after all. ;D

I agree with the others, if you liked wearing ribbons in your hair, you should do it.

Welcome!  :D

I found ribbons just a while ago. I love especially velvet ribbons- to my eye, they look a bit less "girly" than satin ones (though I have them too). What the rest say- do what you please, wearing ribbons won't hurt others.
