Hello all! My name is Chelci. I have long hair that is about 28 inches long. I have had a perm(relaxer) for most of my life. From ages 5-16. June of this year was the last time that I got a perm. I have been transitioning for 4 months now and I have no intentions of cutting my hair. I joined this site to get support and helpful advice from you lovely ladies who are also in the process of growing long hair. My hair was a 1c(straight with a few waves) while it was relaxed and now, 4 months later my hair is about a 2a(a few waves and some curls). My regimen is down below in my signature. If you have any questions please feel free to ask me.

I must say, that is the most interesting way that I have ever seen to spell that name.

You've certainly come to the right place for support and understanging about the trials & tribulations of growing out your hair.

About how long is the natural part of your hair now (the part that isn't permed)?

Hi Chelci - Welcome!

I think you'll find lots of good info here on growing your hair out and transitioning it to a healthier, natural state - these gals are pros ya know! I love naturally curly hair, I think it's so beautiful! I'd love to see hair pics - ooh, maybe some progress pics! Good luck & happy growing! ;D
