Title: Hello from Michigan Post by rhpetunia on Jan 19th, 2006 at 11:04pm
Hello everyone!!
Thank you so much for everyone's posts!! Thanks to all of you my hair has transformed over the past month. It was about bra-strap length but the bottom half was dry-looking. Now it looks much better. At the first of the year it measured 27". I will work on posting pics in "Show Off Your Locks." Thanks again! |

Thank you for the warm welcomes!
I just realized I didn't answer all the questions suggested, and I'd love to so I will: How long is your hair? This one I did answer, but it's 27 inches. I would like to have 36, so I'll take good care of it and see how it goes. What color is your hair? My hair is very dark brown. I have a little gray, and I just don't feel ready to surrender to it yet, so I color it with Herbatint, which I order from health food stores. They claim it won't damage hair, and it doesn't seem to me to be too bad. Is your hair straight/curly/wavy? It is a fairly wavy and a bit fine, I think. There is no curl, just some wave. Do you have favorite products to use on your hair? I use Aubrey Organics GBP shampoo and conditioner. I tuck my hair into a shower cap while conditioning, and I shampoo the roots only, just letting a little trickle down. I am still on my first bottle of each, but I love the results and I find the smell of the conditioner absolutely intoxicating! I oil lightly with Jojoba every night and right after washing. I find an ACV rinse at the end of my shower makes my hair and scalp feel great and improves waves, and I use aloe also after washing. See -- I've been paying attention!!! I use some other products lightly for styling, but nothing to rave about. What are your favorite hair accessories? Small non-damaging clips and barettes to pin my hair back off my face, a set of hair sticks, and scrunchies for sleeping. I'm working on the pictures. I have one after using my Caruso curlers, but I also want another with the natural wave, and I'm washing tomorrow morning, so hopefully I'll get them posted tomorrow. Thanks again everyone! |

Hi Sakina!
The Grand Rapids area is very nice. My husband's cousin used to live in Hastings, too. I live near Detroit, in the 9 mile area on the east side. |

Hey! I lived in MI for 15 years, which was 15 years too long for me. Not enough sun!!! I live in AZ now, don't miss MI for a nanosecond!
Glad you've joined us here on LL ;D |
