Title: Claire's Hairsticks? Post by 13bodies on Mar 3rd, 2006 at 8:05pm
You are not going to believe this.
Two weeks ago I was at the mall and wandered into Claire's, who now have HUGE spider clips that are actually too big for a twist and hold up my buns, I kid you not; anyway, I was browsing through the hairsticks and noticed several pairs that looked like pencils. I looked closer--they were pencils. Regular old #2 yellow pencils that had been put on a plastic backing and marketed as hairsticks for $7.99, or $4 half price. Even better, although they had been sharpened the leads were all broken, leaving jagged, hair-damaging wood behind. I wish I'd had my camera with me because nobody believes this. ::) I can pop down to my local office supply store and buy a whole rainbow of pencils for $7.99. I could put up my hair with a different pair every week for a year. Sheesh. How dumb do they think we are? :P |

I've been known to use pencils in my hair many, many times. But I would NOT spend that kind of money for a broken pencil! I wonder who they think would buy them? ::shakes head in wonder::

I know its NUTS, I've seen them too!
Beesan, it was more than one pair. I guess they think there is more than one idiot out there. You know though, I'm sure there is!!! :-X |

lol man.... this certainly isn't the first time that Claire's has "borrowed" a "trend" from me. ;) ;D :P ::)
I do pity anyone stupid enough to pay that much for them though. Hello! hehehe |

Don't spend a cent on Claire's hair sticks. They break rather easily.
