Title: Longest hair Post by wishing4longhair on Mar 23rd, 2006 at 1:27pm
I'm curious.
Who here has the longest hair. I'll give my length as a starting point, but will be tromped by several of you with much longer hair: Mine is 25" Meg |

My hair measured 44" in January. It is not growing very fast right now, but I would guess it might have grown another inch since then.

I'm somewhere in the late thirty-somethings
Anne Marie (we miss you) should be at least 46" by now. |

I'm not even discussing my hair length in this thread :P. Just wanted to compliment you all on having an amazing, beautiful long hair! You are an inspiration to me.

awww - come on Galadriel - join in the fun. Post your length. It will be incentive! This board is not just for those who already have long hair, it is also to support and encourage those who aspire to have long hair. In fact you have an advatage over some of us who unknowingly abused our hair until it was already long and now we have to live with our errors. |

Ok, :) I think my hair is around 24.5 in at the moment. I had a trim this month, so I've gained just 0.5 in since January. I'm a bit scissor happy, but slower growth is ok for me at the moment. As long as my hair is long enough to style with my favorite hairsticks, I'm happy. :D

That's a nice length. Be proud it's as long as it is. Being able to style it is a big plus.

I think Flaming Bunny's hair should be pretty long too.
Cairn should be way past 40" by now |

My hair is about 34" from the hairline at my forehead to the ends in the back. Is that the correct measuring technique?

that's how I measure my hair. I believe alot of us longhairs measure that way. :)

Yep, that's how I do it to. It's the easiest to get the same every time, I think.

You know.. I've never measured my hair?
(Maybe I'm fearful of the outcome.. then again, it could just be that I'm extremely lazy and haven't invested in a measuring tape... ha! ::)) |

If you measure every month and there's a growth increase think how happy you'd be!! ;D

Novusfemina,
You need to get a tape measure and let us know how long your red locks are. Curlgirl has good advice ....measure every month or so to see if you are progressing. Your red bun picture looks like very long hair. |

I'd like to know... but maybe I'll adopt an every three month measuring cycle... I'm just afraid if I measured every month that I'd beat myself up when my hair wasn't growing much... ::)
I know I know.. I'm such a worry-wart |
Title: Re: Longest hair Post by Curlgirl64 on May 15th, 2006 at 6:59pm
Funny,I was thinking that of myself, too!!! But I'm measuring every month to get into the habit and be deligent about it! That's me,(p.s.-I am a little bit of a worry wart too ;)

Well I definitely don't have the longest hair here, but I thought I gotta confess what I did the other day when it came to measuring hair! My hair is about oooooo maybe 27"...can't quite remember now, and I got the old tape measure out to see how much it had grown in a month.
Well I looked at the result and stared :o, tried again, and continued staring. It said something like 34", and just as I was thinking I must have measured my hair wrong in the past or something, I realised I was holding the tape measure the wrong way up!!!! ;D haha |

Wow! 34 inches is the same as my current length!
How long are you gonna let your red hair grow? What is your goal? Jim |

Wow! 34 inches is the same as my current length!
How long are you gonna let your red hair grow? What is your goal? I'm afraid I was holding the tape measure up the wrong way when I thought it said 34"!!! But I've just got my Mum to measure it for me, so with holding the start of the tape measure at the front of my head and letting it trail backward down my back it comes to 30". Is that the right way of measuring it? My goal is to keep my hair healthy and try and get the ends as thick as the rest of it! I have quite thick hair, so it takes quite a bit of work! I still think I'll let it keep growing though.....;) |
