Anyway, I'm as new as can be so I decided to post up here to get to know some of you. I'd love to talk so hope to hear from some of you soon. :)

Why not tell us a bit about you and your hair so we can get to know you better?

Sure! :) As I have mentioned before in another topic, I am recently growing out my hair to its original long length. As of now, it is short and layered with a bang (a hairstyle kind of like Lisa Rinna’s.) It is naturally a light brown with light red highlights. I only colored it once in my life (blonde.) Although my hair is naturally very curly and thick, it is manageable enough to straighten easily within minutes so I wear it straight daily. I style it both flipped and under. Really there is not much I can do to my hair because its’ short but soon enough it’ll be long and I’ll be styling away!

Since my hair is a little above my chin, my goal as of now is to get it midway down my neck or slightly above my shoulders by June so, at least, I’ll have something to put my fingers through and more hair to style, to curl, and to tie up when I just get lazy. I think my goal is reasonable… (stop me if I’m having too high of expectations?) My ultimate goal, however, is to grow my hair stomach length. I don’t expect this overnight, but will definitely stick to growing it out no matter how long it takes. :)

No goal is too unreasonable. It just takes patience and perseverance to get it to that length.

Welcome Valerita!  Since you've had long hair you will probably be able to give us some pointers too.  Glad you've joined the group!

Wishing4longhair, thank you for your encouragement! :D I really hope my hair grows quick so its at least mid length for the summer.

As for your question, since my parents and I are the only family members who live in New York I spend my summer (June to the end of Augest) in Spain. This is also since I'm only seventeen and my parents don't believe in me growing up totally isolated from my family. Otherwise, I spend the rest of the year in New York.

And thanks, Precious Locks, I do have many pointers about long hair. :)
