I finally got my hair cut. Hubby trimmed about 6 inches. It feels so much better now. I haven't measured it yet, but I will soon.

I've lost my feathered, fairytale ends, but I think I will much less prone to the split ends now.

I am not as brave as you...you brave brave soul. What is your hair length now? God I would cry... and feel naked.

BB how is your heart not having palpatations???? I only had trimmed about 2 inches and I feel "naked" well that's pushing it,but I feel the loss. I know you'll feel good or better about it! Let us know what the measurement is now!

Yes!! That was wise. Painful maybe but wise. The ultimate goal is always hair at its best. And you will get it that way, getting rid of splits and feathertail. I say Good on ya!
It will grow more beautiful now.

Whoa you must be at.. 40 inches still though? You started with inconceivably long hair so I'd imagine it's less of a shock to you than to us! :) Glad to hear you are happy with the cut. What a fabulous husband you have.

I know 6" sounds like a lot, but my ends were soooooo thin that it really was not that much of a cut. My ends are much fuller now. I also had not had a trim in......... OVER 2 YEARS! :o I really needed this, but just couldn't make myself do it. I'm glad I did it now and wish I hadn't waited so long.

Bikerbraid,

We have to see a picture now after the cut. I cut about 4 to 5 inches of mine a couple of months ago, and I ahted doing it so much. It's still thin on the ends, but I hate to cut any more. I want to get it past my butt, but I doubt my hair will cooperate!

Wow and congrats. I'm glad your hair feels so much nicer now. It was brave of you, but it sounds like it was for the best.

You're my inspiration bikerbraid! I just trimmed 3, but have moved from 'thinking about it' to planning another 5-6 inches.
