I'm in my last week before we take off for our 6 day bike trip.  Hopefully my legs are ready for this.  I've not biked nearly as many miles as I typically would have by this time, but hopefully I've bike enough to get me through.  

We have 2 shorter days in the middle of the week that will be no problem.  But the last 2 days are the longer days that if we trouble, those will be the tough ones.  If it doesn't rain and the temps don't go above 95F I think we can make it!  We've ridden parts of the route in past years, so at least we know the terrain is manageable (i.e., few big hills).  We will be riding along Lake Michigan and/or Green Bay most of the time, so that should help keep the temps reasonable.  

We leave on Saturday and head to hubby's Mom's place.  We spend the night there, then Sunday morning drive to the staging area where we put our bikes and gear on semi's and we ride a bus to the starting point.  There is no turning back once the bikes are on the semi.  ;D  We start our ride on Monday morning.  It is usually a beautiful ride from Marinette to Green Bay - down hill with a tail wind!  (The only hill on that route is a highway overpass!)  A good day to warm up the legs!

While I'm gone, CurlGirl64 and Sakina will be taking care of things around here, so be sure to be extra nice to them.  ;)

  Hope you have a fun and safe bike trip!  Sounds like fun and a lot of energy expended to me.  Keep your hair braided and out of harm's way.
