I was suprised that I had so few photos of my hair down.  I guess I really do tie it up most of the time.  lol  I'll have to ask my husband to take a pic of the back of my hair in the next couple of days so I can update this post.

Your 9 year old is a cutie!  Looks like she has the talent to use hairsticks as well.  I think most of us start out by sticking pencils into our hair to hold our first buns.

Your bun with sticks is great!  The sticks/beads compliment your hair color beautifully.  I look forward to seeing a pic with your hair down.

  I asked you in another note about your hair and color and length.  Now I see your pretty picture!  You must be a true long hair lover like the rest of us here!  Glad to meet you!  Do you like really long hair on men?  long hair on a man is a really rare thing these days.  Mine is buttlength and growing again now......maybe i can sit on it one day.  If you would like to see more pics, I'll be glad to share them with you.  You and your daughter have beautiful hair!

Biker, thank you.  :)  I started out being obsessed with long hair as a child and dreaming or having beautiful hair like the women I saw.  The ones in particular that got me were older Indian women with pure white hair.  I don't know why older women with long hair fascinated me so much, but I used to dream of being that beautiful when I was older.  lol  It absolutely cracks me up to see my oldest imitating me.

Blonde, I am obsessed with long hair on men!  I could sit and comb it for hours.  I used to love to wash my boyfriends' hair, massage their head, comb their hair and then braid it.  Ironically I married a bald man.  lol  --Starts reaching for Blonde's hair--    I would miss it, but with 3 girls I have lots of hair to do.  Two like long hair, and one likes really short hair.  I'd offer to let you lay your head on my lap while I massage your head, but my husband might object.  LOL  ;)

Thank you for the compliment.  :)  My hair, by the way, is just past my tailbone.  I am not liking how it is beginning to get caught and how it has been falling out of buns, so I think I might trim 2 inches off.  My hair dresser always has heart failure and says, "Do you KNOW how much 2 inches is?!"  lol  I keep telling him with as much as I have, 2 is not much.  The poor man cuts my hair once or twice a year, and each time I ask for some off to maintain length (I get about 2 inches a year growth, I believe it is) he freaks out.  lol



Khrome, Thank you.  :)  Yes, she did her own bun, but I think I had already done the pony tail that morning.  My girls love doing their own hair, and especially each other's hair.  Amazingly they are quite good at it.  More so on each other than themselves, as they can see the back better, but they are really good at helping each other.

  You could surely massage my hair at any time.  I love that feeling and having my hair combed softly.  Sounds wonderful to me.  You husband may object though.  Would you lie more pictures of my hair?

Let's see if I can get this pic to show up.  My husband took this pic of me when I got out of the shower before I pulled it up.  Unfortunately I didn't think about not being able to see it with dark pants, so I put a white line on the bottom of my hair so you can see the actual length.

(Yes, that is big ol me.  ;)  lol  See what having kids does to us women.  lol)

Thank you.  :)  I desperately need my annual/biannual trim, but it's still doing pretty well.  I'm debating if I should do a maintenance cut to keep it this length or trim some length off a little bit.

  I agree with everyone here.  Your hair is really beautiful and so very long!  Don't cut much when you trim......you'll be kneelength before you know it.  I just wish my hair would grow so long!

I'm not sure I want to grow it any longer.  After all, my arms are only so long, and it's beginning to get a little difficult to work with.  When I twist it up, I have to take a little extra time now to keep combing it after every twist or two.  It's beginning to fall out of buns more often, so I have to use more pins to hold it.  I'm still debating, because I've never had it quite this long before.  Hmm...    ???

  Yes, I would massage your hair for you.  As much as I like long hair, maybe I should have been a long hair stylist or something.  Of course, I would never want to cut beautiful long hair though.  Your hair is really pretty.
I hope you decide to keep it long.  I am growing mine as long as it will grow!

Well, it's "in my buttcrack" now.  lol  I usually try to keep it up, because it's been getting pretty long.  --goes to ask hubby how long my hair *really* is--  

BTW, I tried a double bun, and it helped with keeping my hair up.  If I can find styles like that, I think I might grow it a bit more and see how it goes.  Can you believe I am really very tenderheaded?  lol
