Title: Frivolous post Post by greek_lady on Oct 18th, 2006 at 11:04am
I'm sorry it's such a frivolous "me" post but I had to share with you. You're the ones who will understand.. :-[ :-[
I was approached by this young guy today with this comment: "Do you swim alone?" Yes it was a down-hair-day today. I blushed beetroot red :-[ :-[ Jeez, sometimes they surely know how to be nice, huh ::) ::)? Such a pity he was so young ;D ;D |

lol greek_lady...
Nothing wrong with the younger guys, I guess, unless you're already spoken for. ;D But gosh, I don't think my hair could ever procure such admiration. You go, girl! ;) |

G-L, you know I luv ya and don't mind a frivolous post one bit but I don't get it. :-/
Do you have any new pictures of your hair to share with us? |

Sakina, I'm sorry I didn't explain it. I should have elaborated a bit more.
What he meant was that I looked like a mermaid with my long flowing hair and if I swim alone at sea or would I like some company... ;):-[ :) As for pics, no I have no pics of my hair. Noone around to make him/her take a couple for me, plus with all that shedding I have been having for the last year, I dread the result! Angel Spun, thank you :-[ :) No, I'm not spoken for, but I like 'em a bit older and mature. :-[ ;) Prob is the "older and mature" seldom have the will or still-wild-imagination to come up with a line like that! ::) ::) |

Mermaid hair! I love it! ;D
Don't discredit the younger guys right away, greek_lady. One of them just might surprise you. ;) There are those rare few who have the youthful wit and energy plus the maturity and intelligence to go with it. So why limit yourself? I speak from experience, chica. Trust me. [smiley=happy.gif] |

Ooh, that was nicely said of him! If you liked his approach, there might be something more you like about him too. ;) There's only one way to find out, though!
I agree with the rest- the one bit of wisdom I have learned about men is that although it's good to have some ideas about what you would like in a partner, you shouldn't let those ideas restrict you. There are 50-year old men whose brains seem to have stopped developing after they turned 16 (beats me HOW they have spent the years in between...) , and there young men who are a lot more mature than their age would suggest. I suppose that the latter are a bit more rare, but there are some. Besides, you don't have to marry that guy right away- you can just have fun and get to know someone who seems like an interesting person. The serious side of things will come later, if it comes at all. |

What a great "line"! :D and what a compliment. A compliment like that would leave me beaming for a week! Feel free to keep posting your "frivolous" posts - we can all live vicariously thru you. 8-)

Okay, are you one of those "cougars" described on "How I Met Your Mother" this week? Jane Seymour was hilarious with Barney. His description of a sex-crazed older woman (including mane, claws, etc) was fabulous.

Galadriel, yes you are right that was really nicely said. That's why I wanted to share. :) \
BB, I was beaming a long time, too. Nice, really nice, things like that don't come often my way, don't think! So I had better find someone else to live vicariously, through! :D ;) OldKathy, I am sorry, but since I don't live in the States I don't know the show you are talking about and can't totally get the whole description. Although I can at least understand some part of it! :D:D:D |
