Just for fun...If you had to pick just one, what would you pick? You are on an island and have nothing else to wear in your hair.  what would you love every single day?  On my dresser now are lots of hairsticks, hair forks, barrettes, slides, etc.  But if I had to pick just one, I'd pick a simple wooden fork.  Not that I don't love my Longlocks hair sticks, I do! But each one is for a different type of occasion, or a different outfit.  My wooden fork goes everywhere.  How about you?

I would have a very difficult time picking ONE!  But, if I had to, I would want to be practical and make sure I could wear my hairstick even when my hair was wet, so I would go for my stainless steel hairstick that has a lovely cobalt blue stone on the end.

If I could take just one hairtoy, it would have to be something sturdy and very versatile...so I'd probably choose my gold primavera Ficcare Maximas clip. I love my hairsticks, but they aren't all that sturdy and like oldkathy, I like to match them with my clothes.
     I hope that in any case, I could still take my bun net and an elastic hair tie with me- my hair is so slippery that it's very difficult to put up securely with just one thing.

Hair ornament, hmm...I don't think that my beak clip would be a good answer, since I use it as more of a tool than a decoration.

It would probably come down to the old reliable velour scrunchie for me, since it allows me to tie my hair back quickly without damaging it.

But if we're talking just frivolous decoration, it would definitely be any of the awesomely gothic black rose barrettes that I made. They're perfect for updo's.  ;D

Okay, it may not be practical for that island, but as of today, my favorite hair ornament has to be my new ruby spiral pearlistix special edition.  Wow!

Don't worry, Kathy, when it comes to hair toys, we ignore practical and go for what makes us feel pretty!  ;D

This is a hard one!  I would have my hair elastics for one and my hardest hair stick as I can use it for other things on the island.  I think I watch too much Survivorman!  :D

I would want a pack of Amish hairpins.  I get bored too easily to pick one hair accessory, so I would decorate my hair with the local flora & fauna, held up with my hairpins.  I think I'd get the widest variety of styles that way.
