Title: Where do you consider hair to be really long? Post by oldkathy on Oct 25th, 2006 at 7:04pm
From the time my hair passed my shoulders people would comment on how "long" my hair was getting. But I didn't really feel like it was long until it got to my waist. I consider anything past shoulders to be long on a man, but on most women it needs to be past bra strap length for me to consider it really long. What do you think?

I agree, Kathy. I consider waist length to be really long, but most people start commenting on hair being long when it hits mid back, or BSL.

I picked waist too- no matter on whom I see waist length hair, I find it long. On some people though, much shorter hair may also seem long. It really depends, I reckon.
In general, most people I see IRL have shorter than BS hair, so everything below that is unusually long. |

Seems like waist length is the general consensus, it's what I picked too. :)
I know that when I began approaching BSL is when everyone began commenting on how long my hair was however, I don't feel that BSL is very long at all. I'm aiming for waist length myself, though I think that I'm about a full year and a half away from it :( |

I don't know, maybe it's just me but I consider hip length to be getting really long... waist is long, no doubt, but I've seen so many people with waist length hair that it's not quite as remarkable. Still quite frequently gorgeous, though.

I tend to think along your thoughts,Kiraela! Hip length sounds good and alittle less commonly seen.

The first time that I started to feel like my hair was long was when it would brush my elbows so I picked waist length as well.

I voted for BSL because I have seen some thick BSL hair which looked as good as some waist length hair :o
I would think if you took this poll out to the general public the majority would probably say shoulder length. From what I hear, the fashion world seems to think shoulder length is long but if you talked to ten different people you would probably get ten different answers on what they think long hair is ::) Jerry |

i chose beyond classic because i go to college and there are a few gilrs there that have waist or tailbone. most have BSL or mid-back. then there are 2 i have seen so far that have beyond classsic and that is what i call really long compared to the others. im not saying those lengths arnt long, just not considered very long in my opinion... ;)
