What kinds of scissors do you use to trim?  How much would you invest in a pair of scissors for your trims?
I've seen sicissors for $1200 dollars and everything in between,down to a few dollars.  
What do you think?

I just bought a pair of hair scissors from Target's hair dept.  They were diamond sharpened...the higher end of two choices.  I think I paid $20 or so for them.

Thanks for the info.  I was looking on Google and there are tons of sites and even more choices for scissors.  Funny though,not one of the sites I visited told you which particular scissor would be better for a particular job.  They're sure quick to tell how much they cost though!! ::)

Your best bet is to go into a Sally's or other beauty supply store that sells to everyone and talk to the girls there although I will tell you more often than not the more expensive the shears are the longer they will stay sharp (or be sharp for that matter) and the better they will cut. Try not to buy shears in the $10-20 range as they are usually no more than glorified kitchen scissors. I have a pair I bought from sally's for work (I am a hair stylist) for $89 about 2 years ago and they are still sharp and cut a good clean line and I use them pratically everyday , and usually if you spend more money on shears you won't need to sharpen them as often (and please dont EVER try to do that with the kitchen knife sharpner) or replace them as often saving you money in the long run

Thanks!  I had planned on spending around $100.  There are sharpening places here that if I ever needed to have them sharpened,I'd drop by.  My great uncle was a barber in NYC and used to have his own shop in the Times Building.  He used to cut one of the very famous newscasters hair,too.  He's 90 now and I doubt he'd recall which scissors are really great for just dusting and or trimming.  There is a LIBS not far from here,a couple of blocks,but my mom goes to this spa that I have my crocheted items displayed in and I think I'll talk to her stylist.  Get some info.
