Title: how do I keep my natural curls going
Post by gloriouscurls on Feb 18th, 2007 at 4:20pm
Hello

Just came on board today.   Great site, love it!  I am growing my hair out, it's above my shoulders, but very curly.  I really don't want to cut it, but how am I going to keep the curles as it grows longer.  When I was a teenager and had hair half way down my back, I would brush it out and try to straighten it.  I'm  finally embracing my curls.  I want to see how long my hair will actually grow, but will the weight pull my curls down?  I really want to learn how to keep them alive.  Suggestions anyone?   I'm also not brushing my hair anymore!

Thanks..........gloriouscurls :-*

We have a number of "curl experts" that I am sure can give you some excellent suggestions formaintaining your curls to the maximum.

I am not the big expert, but your hair would have to be pretty long to pull the curls out through weight. Plus another good point to remember is that getting some layers can help remove the weight (long Layers) and give your hair a bit more spring where you need it.

I am sure there are many ways but this is all i know, hope it helps.
