Title: Tried something new Post by Valerie on May 10th, 2007 at 10:49pm
Tonight I did a quick vinegar rinse on dry hair, briefly rinsed that out, then massaged a couple tablespoons of olive oil on my scalp and through my length. I wrapped my hair in a towel and left it for half an hour. When I took my hair down to wash it out I had wonderful 'plopped' curls. I'm tempted to try it with a little less oil for a fun day time style. Curls rarely workout for me and I'd love to find something that did.
Since I've switched back to cones I'm doing ACV rinses more often. Does it matter if I rinse with vinegar before or after I wash and condition? |

I usually do my vinegar rinse after shampooing so that any shampoo residue is removed by the vinegar rinse. Sometimes I do it after I condition. I would think that if you are doing the rinse on a regular/frequent basis, it would not matter a lot when you did it.

Vinegar strips away residue of any kind, so if you do a vinegar rinse after conditioning, you'll actually be lifting some of the conditioner away. If you hair is dry, this is not a good idea.
